International Shipping Partners (ISP) selects the MXP Property Management System for 3 more vessels | Friday 08. March 2013
After the successful implementation onboard OCEAN DIAMOND, International Shipping Partners, Inc. has selected the MXP Property Management System for three more vessels of its fleet – the SEA SPIRIT, the QUEST, and the new SEA EXPLORER.
Dietmar Wertanzl, International Shipping Partners’ Executive Vice President, Hotel & Commercial Operations, said, “Our expedition ships operate in the most remote parts of the world, and we need a stable and easy-to-use solution. MXP offers integrated point of sale, gangway security, offline check-in, and many other advanced features at the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO).”
MarineXchange Managing Director Hannes Lindthaler added, “For the first time, a property management system (PMS) can be completely managed from the office. Guest data captured on board, including financial transactions, automatically flows back and enables permanent control and cost-efficient ship management. As an industry first, passenger data no longer has to be imported from files with our PMS. Instead, a continuous interface automatically moves data to the installations, enabling ship personnel to see future bookings as well as guest history from other vessels in the fleet.”
MarineXchange, an ISO certified company, offers the only enterprise software suite for the cruise industry. MXP is a mature and feature-rich software and offers modules to better manage supply chain, ports, port costs, itineraries, tours, payroll, human resources, property management (PMS), recipes, menu cycles, meal counts, and visitors. All modules are seamlessly integrated with each other and are managed centrally at the office. The software is in use by 16 cruise companies, operating more than 100 vessels.
Headquartered in Miami, Florida, International Shipping Partners, Inc. offers ship owners a broad range of comprehensive passenger ship management services, including marine, technical, and hotel operations. The first enterprise PMS for the cruise industry | Tuesday 17. April 2012
In response to strong industry demand for more advanced features and lower TCO, MarineXchange introduces the first Enterprise Property Management System (ePMS) for the cruise industry.
For the first time, a PMS can be completely managed from the office. Besides centralized management, many labor intensive tasks have been automated. Passenger data no longer has to be imported from files; instead a continuous interface automatically moves data to the ships. Ships can see the complete guest history, including future bookings. Guest data captured on board, including financial transactions, automatically flows back into data warehouses, CRM systems, and financial systems ashore. For the first time a PMS provides true automation and efficiencies. Ships no longer have to run 50 reports at cruise end to get all their numbers. Chief Pursers and IT Officers do not have to be trained to be software administrators. Throughout the system features were designed with control and efficiency in mind.
The enterprise PMS software is accompanied by a range of modules. A fully integrated POS system, gangway security, guest check-in, visitor check-in, restaurant reservation, tour sales, giftshop management with predictive forecasting for re-ordering, clearance, and more. All is seamlessly integrated with the MXP itinerary management, port management, crew payroll, human resources, meal count modules, and several mobile applications.
The first implementation has successfully been completed at the beginning of April.
